Montana McGlynn is a board licensed acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in women’s health and chronic pain conditions. Also a skilled massage therapist, Montana combines physical manipulations, acupuncture, herbal medicine and cupping to create a tailor made healing experience for each patient. Montana’s goal as a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine is to unite knowledge of ancient healing practices with modern bio-medicine, to help each person achieve optimal health. Using this philosophy, Montana has helped hundreds of people to get and stay well.
Montana began her journey to Chinese Medicine almost by accident. After earning an undergraduate degree in Art History she began a museum job that she liked but didn’t love. In an attempt to fill that void, she started volunteering at an AIDS clinic that practiced integrative medicine. Montana witnessed first-hand the powerful effect acupuncture had on patients. Over the next few months she realized it was her calling to treat people with this powerful, yet gentle medicine.
After completing her Bachelors of Arts degree from Hunter College, Montana began Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, where she earned a Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. After graduating with highest honors, she completed her internship at UCLA’s Arthur Ashe Clinic before starting a private practice in 2007. Montana now loves what she does, and considers each day a blessing.
